By rearranging the 39 books of the Old Testament according to the historical flow of events rather than their literary placement, we will read the Bible in chronological order with the perspective that the Bible is meant to give.
We will study the origins of human history, which began with God’s creation work, through the rise and fall of God’s kingdom of Israel. From Genesis to the age of Kings and Prophets we will uncover the message of God, and examine the cycle of God’s provision & promise, man's destruction by sin, and God’s redemptive mission.
Through these Bible studies and small group meetings we will read our way through the Old Testament in a contextual and thematic way. By the end you will see the entire Bible as a single coherent story that you can understand, and even explain to others. We want to hear you say, “Wow I get the Bible!”
By tracing his story across the four Gospels, beginning with the events of the Passovers, we will investigate the person and message of Jesus Christ. We want you to be able to answer questions about who he was, what he did, what he said, and what that means for us today!
Then we will follow the path of the book of Acts to witness the aftermath of Jesus's death, resurrection and ascension; unpacking how the Gospel message exploded across the world to reach Gentiles through the work of the Holy Spirit, the Apostles, and Paul's four mission trips. Come and see how God's church was built in the midst of intense internal conflicts and extreme persecution.
By the end of the Old and New Testaments, you'll be able to confidently say that not only have you read the entire Bible, but that you understand it clearly and can trace God’s redemptive arc from Genesis to Revelation!
